Does anyone know how to repair IE? It errors out on me saying it cannot display the webpage when I know I'm online. It also won't bring up parts of my school's website, but my friend can get it on hers just fine. I also cannot download windows updates. Does anyone know what to do?

What version of IE are you using. If version 7.0 under tools internet options on the advanced tab there is a reset button. Try resetting your IE settings. Also, make sure you have no tool bars installed ETC.

I tried big dog daddies suggestion, and I still cannot manually check windows update, or get to my school forums. Does anyone have any more ideas? Thanks to big dog daddy.

make sure you have BITS enabled for the windoes updates.

How do you make sure bits are enabled for windows updates? And for the other question, yes firefox works just fine, but there are some features I like better with IE that I can't use with firefox.
